Dear Survivors, fighters,
and supporters in the fight against Breast Cancer,
Monthly breast self-exams are the best way to get to know your own body, and to be alert to any changes. Combined with your annual mammogram, this simple habit is the best way to ensure early detection.
I'll help you remember to do your monthly exam with regular updates on 8 News Now on the 8th of every month. If the 8th falls on a Saturday or Sunday, I'll remind you on the Friday before. Then you should call your buddy and remind her!
I'm grateful to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Southern Nevada for their generous sponsorship of "Buddy Check 8." Together, we can fight this disease and win!
Your good health is in your own hands!
Paula Francis
