LAS VEGAS -- Higher power bills for customers meant a profit for NV Energy in the fourth Quarter.
The company posted a net income of $4.2 million which is an improvement over the same quarter a year ago when the company had a $2.1 million net loss.
NV Energy says the increased earnings is from a rate increase that customers started paying on July 1, 2009. Rates were increased because of the loss in money from new hook ups.
