Nevada OSHA Adopts Federal Recordkeeping Program

Posted: Updated:

Las Vegas–Nevada OSHA will soon begin the process of auditing Nevada's employers through OSHA's Federal Recordkeeping National Emphasis Program. The program will determine if and how much employers might be under reporting injuries and illnesses at state worksite.

The audits will include a records review, employee interviews, and a limited safety and health inspection of the workplace. Industries with high injury and illness rates will be audited first.
