Foreclosed Homes to be Auctioned Off

Posted: Updated:

LAS VEGAS -- This month hundreds of homes in Las Vegas will be auctioned off.  Freddie Mac is holding an auction of foreclosed homes in hopes of taking advantage of a federal plan that will help new borrowers with down payments.

The company says potential buyers may qualify for help under the Neighborhood Stabilization Program.  Those who are deemed eligible will not only be able to get help with their down payment, but with closing costs as well if they buy distressed homes in designated areas.

Open houses will be held on April 10th, 17th and 18th in order for potential buyers to see what homes will be on the auction block.  On April 24th the auction will be held at Cashman Center form 9:30 a.m. -11 a.m.  If you want to see what homes are available right now, you can do so by clicking here.
