LAS VEGAS -- A joint poll conducted by 8 News NOW and the Las Vegas Review-Journal shows Carolyn Goodman leading Chris Giunchigliani in the race for Las Vegas mayor.
The poll was conducted from May 26 through June 2 and reached 604 registered voters.
Of the residents polled, 47.8 percent said they would vote for Carolyn Goodman. Thirty percent said they would vote for Chris Giunchigliani. Another 2.5 percent said they were voting for another candidate, while 18 percent have still not made up their mind.
Among those who voted in the primary election, 48.2 percent plan to vote for Goodman, 34.1 percent plan to vote for Giunchigliani, and 12.9 percent were not sure.
The general election will be held on Tuesday, June 7. Only residents living in the Las Vegas city boundaries can elect the mayor.
The poll was conducted by the Cannon Survey Center at UNLV. It has a margin of error of +/- 4 percent.
