LAS VEGAS - Machine Guns Vegas is a far cry from your standard shooting range.

"This is something that's brand new to Las Vegas," said Machine Guns Vegas Director of Sales and Marketing Lianne Heck. "It's got a very high-end lounge feeling and nothing like a normal gun range."

It's billed as the world's first luxury gun lounge - the ultimate firearms experience.

Machine Guns Vegas Director of Training and Development Michael Heck and his wife Lianne have been flooded with calls about this soon-to-open attraction.

"We're going to do something a little more high-end here, where the shoot club meets the nightclub," said Michael Heck, who is also a former Metro Police officer.

Hostesses will greet guests, and the range masters at Machine Guns Vegas have served on America's front line.

"On the front end, you're going to see a sales host that may have been on the pages of Playboy last year, and now she's our sales host. She's thoroughly familiar with the firearms industry. By the time you make it out on the range, you're probably going to be greeted by range masters that have done two or three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan," Michael said.

The owners of Machine Guns Vegas, or MGV, say the business combines the plush, high-energy appeal of a Las Vegas lounge with the thrill of a high-tech firearms experience.

"It's Vegas. We're Sin City for a reason. We're trying to put the sin back in Sin City," Michael Heck said.

For safety reasons, alcohol is not part of the plan. MGV plans to target VIP's and celebrities who wish to fire their weapons at the facility's 18 lanes.

"We got a million dollars in guns. We got four million in the build-out. We're ready to open the doors," Michael Heck said.

Machine Guns Vegas is set to open in early 2012. The Hecks believe this novel idea is a worthwhile bet in the entertainment Mecca of Las Vegas.

"The public has just been amazed by what we're doing," Lianne Heck said.

Packages range from $89 to $600, depending on the gun you choose. The facility's owners plan to hire 40 people and will target Las Vegas veterans.
