LAS VEGAS -- The Southern Nevada Health District is using National Influenza Week to encourage people to get their flu shots.
Health officials say the shots are beneficial even if they are received in December and January. To date, the health district has administrated 10,500 shots. They encourage everyone 6 months and older to get a flu shot, especially those people in a high risk group.
Flu shots are available for $28. The inhaled vaccine is $43 and the high-dose shot for people 65 and older is $53.
Flu shots are given at the following locations:
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Ravenholt Public Health Center, 625 Shadow Lane, Las Vegas 89106
Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
East Las Vegas Public Health Center, 560 N. Nellis Blvd., Ste. E12, Las Vegas 89110
