LAS VEGAS -- Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum disappointed a handful of supporters who had waited anxiously at the Omelet House in Henderson, Nevada Thursday morning.

greeted Elizabeth Santorum, Rick Santorum's daughter. She apologized saying her dad who had a sore throat and needed to rest.
She voiced her father's values for a smaller government, less wasteful spending, and a strong national defense.
Elizabeth Santorum is a political major who put college on hold to hit the campaign trail for her father.
"I'm here because I believe in my dad. I believe he's the right man for the right moment and I think that message will carry him incredibly far," she said.
Jerry Simmons showed up at the restaurant because he is undecided and wanted to ask the candidate about federal spending.
"I want to see how their gonna (sic) try to address the budget issues," said Simmons.
He is a building inspector for Clark County School District. He is concerned about older schools. He says, instead of repairs, more money is needed for new schools.
Santorum did make it to the Wynn Resort later in the day.
"One thing I've pledged that no one else has; the federal government will spend less money each year, year after year, all four years," Santorum said.
With the government spending less, Santorum says there will be more money for education and job creation and boosting American businesses.
"We put forth a plan that we call our made in the USA Plan. It is a plan that focuses on revitalizing manufacturing and creating manufacturing jobs." He add those jobs have gone to China and must come back to the U.S.
Santorum is trailing behind Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich after the latest GOP primary but says he's not concerned.
